Maybe Someday - Review

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her--and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one...

Original music created for Maybe Someday by musician Griffin Peterson can be accessed through the website listed in the ebook and paperback.

From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to be another bestseller and long-lasting fan favorite.

Alright guys, bear with me.  I absolutely loved this book when I first read it and I love it more every time I reread it (which is often).  It is one of my favorite reads in 2014 and I can't imagine my love lessening in 2015.  So, without further adieu, my review!

Maybe Someday is character driven and the characters that Colleen Hoover has created are complicated, real, diverse, and hilarious.  I love Sidney and how she grabs ahold of everything going wrong in her life.  She's brave and funny and I can't gush about her enough.  And then there's Ridge (UGH), the guitar playing, unfortunately taken Prince Charming that offers a couch to a recently homeless Sidney.  And you can only imagine the kind of trouble all of that would cause on a poor girl's heart. His character is one that I haven't encountered often in books and was so excited and pleased to experience.  With a slew of wonderfully developed supportive characters, Hoover created an all star cast and had me cheering and crying and banging my head on a wall with their actions and emotions.

Another reason why I love Maybe Someday is the amazing way Hoover deals with communication.  I won't spoil anything but let's just say that Sidney and Ridge's conversations and the way they communicate with one another is amazing and warmed my heart.

Maybe Someday is filled with stunning characters that will make you scream, laugh, and cry.  The way all her characters recklessly and fearlessly push towards what they want and what they need is amazing and makes me want to read this story over and over and over again, and each time I finish it with tears and a huge smile.
